This piece was a 3-month painting journey into the feminine archetype. Looking at how to support myself and create an energy that resonates with me on this next part of my life. My Intention was to integrate my masculine feminine, and work as one powerful being - a unified power, moving to action what I’m here to do.
I started the piece by adding symbols/codes to the back of the canvas, then the front. It’s about coding ancestors in a tribal primitive form. Moving on to painting a bloodline, a red thread that connects all codes and thinking while painting about integrating the whole self. Using these four directions, I am the one who creates magic and embraces a whole new way of being, bringing layers of love, grounded to an already established and unified way, the holistic truth of myself. Using my hands to feel my way along the canvas, reclaiming my hands, painting with fingers and fingertips, releasing my blocks with symbols. There’s a bubbling of joy that there will be space to create. A new living breathing cell, and structure to further support.
I’m claiming my own sovereignty and the courage to show up with all that life has thrown my way. I bring this in with lots of dots and expressing that on the canvas.

Back of Artefact Painting
