This piece was inspired by a drawing I had done in a touch drawing session titled ‘Seeded’ - showing one tree thriving and the other without life. I used the drawing I created on tissue paper and added it onto the canvas, then I start adding paint layers on top.
The continuous line drawing brings me into a meditative, reflective state. As I go through another transition in my life, ‘Where I once saw death, I now see life’.
