The Ancestors

This Artefact was inspired by two images on tissue paper titled ‘Ancestors Watching’ and ‘Old Reaching’ from a Touch Drawing session I did. I find it important to connect with my ancestors and the feeling that they are watching over me. 

I added the tree image, to reflect that ancestors are our old beings always reaching upwards. I add the tissue paper to the canvas, combining images. Both creating a powerful story - old wisdom guides me and the tree keeps me rooted to where I belong in that moment.
